We are looking forward for our next publication from PABLISH:
BETWEEN SKY & SEA: Tourist
The book will be released during the winter of 2018/19
Last year's edition of Between Sky & Sea has the focus TOURIST
Performance Art Bergen (PAB) has the pleasure to inform about our fifth edition of Between Sky & Sea. The event takes place for the first time in Lofoten. In the period 9-19th of July 2017, Nordic artists will gather at Vestvågøy to consentrate on art production and art discussions.
An evening program with short presentations from the artists and lectures from inviter guests will be held at the old school-building at Kvalnes, and open to the public with free admission.
We have invited artists to produce new works related to the theme: TOURIST
This year's edition, in other words, does not focus on a final public show, but encourages the specially invited artists to immerse themselves in their own work with the possibility of production assistance from professional photographers. We hope and belive that the artistic output will contribute to works in future exhibitions. In addition, this period of ten days, will result in a publication with contributions from all participants. The book is already financed by funds from Hordaland County Municipality and their program KUP.

BETWEEN SKY & SEA was first arranged in 2005 in collaboration with Lyngheisenteret at the island Lygra north of Bergen, Norway.
Organizers were Robert Alda, Kurt Johannessen and Rita Marhaug, in 2011 founders of Performance Art Bergen.
The main idea for the first and also later festivals, was to gather a group of artists to work in a specific outdoor environment for a week to be showed in public during one festival day. After the first festival the two next ones took place at Herdla, also an island north of Bergen, this time in collaboration with Herdla Museum and the municipal of Askøy.
The concept of BETWEEN SKY & SEA is today owned and organized by Performance Art Bergen (PAB).
