Between Sky & Sea: Tourist is supported by Norwegian Arts Council, Nordic Culture Fund and Nordic Culture Point
BETWEEN SKY & SEA was first arranged in 2005 in collaboration with Lyngheisenteret at the island Lygra north of Bergen, Norway.
Organizers were Robert Alda, Kurt Johannessen and Rita Marhaug, in 2011 founders of Performance Art Bergen.
The main idea for the first and also later festivals, was to gather a group of artists to work in a specific outdoor environment for a week to be showed in public during one festival day. After the first festival the two next ones took place at Herdla, also an island north of Bergen, this time in collaboration with Herdla Museum and the municipal of Askøy.
The concept of BETWEEN SKY & SEA is today owned and organized by Performance Art Bergen (PAB).
